An unidentified third party created a fraudulent WhatsApp profile impersonating the Managing Director and issued fraudulent payment instructions to the Company's Accounts Executive/Authorised Person.

The estimated financial impact is ₹53,00,000 (₹53 lakh), subject to the outcome of the investigation and recovery proceedings. The amount was transferred through two separate transactions: ₹33,00,000 and ₹20,00,000, respectively, to third-party bank accounts on September 10, 2026.

The fraud occurred on September 10, 2026. The management became aware of the incident at approximately noon on September 11, 2026.

Operational Impact

No disruption to the business operations of the Company has been identified.

Actions Taken

The company immediately initiated a detailed investigation upon identification of the irregular transactions. The investigation involves the Company's management, internal technical team, and cybersecurity professionals, examining relevant IT systems, communication channels, payment processes, and authorization mechanisms.

The company promptly notified its bankers and instructed them to initiate necessary measures, including recall of the relevant transactions and freezing/tracing of the beneficiary accounts.

A complaint was lodged with the Cyber Police Station, Navi Mumbai, on September 11, 2026. An e-Zero FIR has been registered on September 11, 2026.
