The Ministry of Culture reported significant progress in its Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) conducted from November 2025 to August 2026. During this period, the Ministry disposed of 3,512 public grievances, 53 references from the Prime Minister's Office, 282 Members of Parliament references, and 46 references received from State Governments. Additionally, the Ministry reviewed 870 physical files, of which 400 were weeded out.
The Ministry organized Swachhata Pakhwada from April 16 to 30, 2026, to promote awareness and participation in cleanliness activities. The events included administration of the Swachhata Pledge to officials and staff on April 16, a quiz competition on the 'Swachh Bharat' theme on April 21, and an essay competition on Swachhata-related themes on April 30.
On August 17, 2026, the Ministry issued instructions and guidelines to all its Attached, Subordinate and Autonomous Organisations to actively participate in the upcoming Special Campaign 6.0, scheduled from October 2 to October 31, 2026. A training session on Record Management conducted by the National Archives of India is scheduled for September 29, 2026, for officials of the Ministry and its 43 organisations.
The Ministry remains committed to creating cleaner and more efficient government workspaces, strengthening record-management practices, and improving public service delivery in furtherance of the Special Campaign 6.0 objectives.
