Mizoram Apex Bank Added to RBI Schedule

RBI announced inclusion of Mizoram Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd. in Second Schedule of RBI Act via Notification dated March 12, 2026.
The inclusion was published in Gazette of India (Part III – Section 4) on April 10, 2026, formalizing regulatory status.
This move subjects the bank to RBI oversight, enhancing supervisory framework for cooperative banking in Mizoram.
The notice was issued by Chief General Manager Brij Raj of RBI’s Communication Department.
