Samvardhana Motherson International Limited has made a disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations regarding a penalty order received by its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, SMP Automotive Interiors (Beijing) Co., Ltd (SMP BJ).

The penalty was imposed by the Customs of Yizhuang Town, Daxing District, Beijing, China. The order amounts to CNY 188,537 (Chinese Yuan One Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Seven only), which is equivalent to approximately INR 26,58,093 (Indian Rupees Twenty-Six Lakh Fifty-Eight Thousand Ninety-Three only).

The penalty order is dated June 5, 2026, and was received by the subsidiary on June 8, 2026. The penalty was imposed due to alleged wrongful declaration of delivery terms for goods. Specifically, the goods were declared with Ex-works (EXW) terms instead of the required Free on Board (FOB) terms.

The company has explicitly stated that there is no material impact on the financials, operations, or other activities of the listed entity as a result of this penalty. No explanation for delay in disclosure was required as the disclosure was made promptly after receipt of the order.
