The Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Bombay issued an order dated August 7, 2026, in connected matters relating to Land Acquisition Reference No. 4 of 1999 concerning MTNL's property situated at Pahadi, Goregaon (East), Mumbai.

• The court permitted claimants to withdraw an amount of ₹20,53,94,364 (Twenty Crores Fifty-Three Lakhs Ninety-Four Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Four Rupees) deposited by MTNL as the acquiring body towards compensation.
• The court observed that apart from the aforesaid amount, the balance amount towards interest remains payable.
