NCLAT Stays Possession of Jamguri Tea Estate

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has issued notice and stayed the possession of Jamguri Tea Estate in an appeal by the Assam Tea Employees Provident Fund Organisation.
The appellant, a statutory provident fund organisation, was not served notice in the original proceedings, leading to an ex-parte order for possession of the tea estate.
The NCLAT has directed the parties to file replies and listed the matter for 6th May 2026, staying the possession until then.
