NCLT Kochi Allows Sea Blue Shipyard Legal Heir Impleadment

NCLT Kochi allows an application to implead legal heirs of a deceased respondent in a company petition under Sections 241-242 of the Companies Act, 2016.
The applicant was unaware of respondent Vypukaran Abubaker Jamal's death on 12.07.2024 when the petition was signed on 11.07.2024 and e-filed on 15.07.2024.
The Tribunal relied on a Supreme Court judgment to allow the impleadment, dismissing technical objections and directing amendments to the petition.
