The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) has granted dual Awarding Body recognition to NIIT Foundation through a formal agreement signed on July 21, 2026. This recognition authorizes NIIT Foundation to directly conduct training, undertake assessments, and award NSQF-aligned certifications for approved qualifications across its pan-India network, operating within NCVET's regulatory framework.
The agreement signing ceremony was chaired by Shri Niranjan Kumar Sudhansu, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Executive Member of NCVET. Other attendees included Lt. Col. Vikram Singh Bhati (Director, Recognition, NCVET), Lt Col Saurabh S Bisht (Director, Monitoring, NCVET), and Ms. Charu Kapoor (Country Director, NIIT Foundation).
As part of this recognition, NCVET approved two specific qualifications developed by NIIT Foundation. The first qualification, 'Fundamentals of Digital Productivity with AI Tools' at NSQF Level 3, focuses on developing essential workplace skills including digital collaboration, data handling, workplace readiness, and AI-enabled workflow management. The second qualification, 'Fundamentals of Data Management with AI Tools' at NSQF Level 4, builds foundational and applied competencies in data handling, analysis, reporting, visualization, dashboard creation, and the effective use of AI-assisted productivity tools.
This recognition represents NCVET's ongoing commitment to strengthening India's vocational education ecosystem by promoting innovative, industry-responsive qualifications that align with emerging technologies and future workforce requirements.
