Nexent Capital Receives IFSCA Investment Banker Registration
On July 31 2026, Nexent Capital IFSC Private Limited, the GIFT City arm of U.S.-based Nexent Capital Management, obtained formal registration from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) under the IFSCA (Capital Market Intermediaries) Regulations, 2025. The registration authorises the firm to conduct regulated investment‑banking activities within India’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at GIFT City.
The licence enables Nexent Capital to manage a broad suite of capital‑market transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), follow‑on public offerings (FPOs), special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) listings, secondary listings, depository receipt issuances, debt‑capital‑market transactions and other advisory mandates as permitted under the CMI Regulations.
Abhimanyu Tyagi, Director of Nexent Capital IFSC Private Limited, stated that the approval marks a milestone, allowing the firm to help international companies access global capital through GIFT City and reinforcing India’s ambition to become a global financial centre.
Leveraging the new licence, Nexent Capital intends to expand its cross‑border investment‑banking platform, focusing on high‑growth sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data centres, quantum computing, space technology and energy. The firm currently has an active pipeline of companies from the United States and Europe seeking capital‑raising and listing opportunities on GIFT City’s exchanges.
Nexent Capital’s broader business includes investment banking, financial advisory, alternative asset management and institutional equities, with offices in San Francisco, California, and GIFT City, Gujarat.
