The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has released revised Maximum Retail Prices (MRP) for 543 brands of anti-cancer medicines. The new prices will become effective from November 9, 2026, and the list reflects information submitted by pharmaceutical companies up to October 27, 2026. The NPPA portal will be updated continuously as manufacturers submit their revised prices for non-scheduled anti-cancer drugs.
The price revisions show substantial reductions across multiple anti-cancer medications. Examples include: RPG Life Sciences' Anastrozole (ANARZOLE) dropping from ₹695.76 to ₹73.00 for 10 tablets (89% reduction); Dr. Reddy's Azacitidine (Azacytin) injection reducing from ₹6,337.00 to ₹1,495.04 (76% reduction); Abbott Healthcare's Bevacizumab (BEVACIZAB) decreasing from ₹21,767.70 to ₹5,930.13 (73% reduction); and NATCO PHARMA's Dasatinib (Dasanat 20) falling from ₹2,812.50 to ₹1,085.93 for 60 tablets (61% reduction).
This action follows the Trade Margin Rationalisation (TMR) of 137 non-scheduled anti-cancer drugs announced on October 17, 2026, which was implemented to address excessive trade margins and improve affordability and access to cancer treatment. The 137 drugs include immunotherapy medicines used in treating over 20 types of cancer, Denosumab for breast and prostate cancer patients, Pegfilgrastim for preventing neutropenia in cancer patients, and Bevacizumab approved for colon, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
The complete list of 543 brands with revised MRPs is available on the NPPA portal, which will be continually updated as manufacturers submit additional revised prices.
