Overview

OneConsent, an AI‑powered DPDP‑compliant Consent Management Platform, has entered into a partnership with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) to strengthen Indian businesses’ readiness for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).

Event Details

The collaboration was marked by the DPDP Readiness Forum held on 16 October 2026 at PHD House in New Delhi. The forum was sponsored by OneConsent and organized under the theme “Deciphering DPDPA: Ready or at Risk? The Rules Are Clear. Are You Ready?”. It brought together legal, cybersecurity, business and technology experts to discuss practical approaches to data‑protection readiness, focusing on organizational accountability, consent management, data security and the integration of privacy into everyday operations.

Key Statements

  • Mohit Luthra, Assistant Secretary General of PHDCCI, delivered the welcome address, stating that as India moves toward DPDPA implementation, data protection must become a business priority and that the partnership aims to help firms prepare for the growing importance of compliance.
  • Soumya Chatterjee, Co‑Founder & CEO of OneConsent, gave the keynote address, emphasizing that true DPDP readiness requires establishing accountability, operationalising consent and embedding privacy into business processes; compliance sets the foundation, but lasting trust depends on transparent processes, responsible data use and clear accountability.
  • The panel discussion, moderated by Amandeep Singh Khurana, Founder of Intersect Solutions and former Head of Loyalty & Subscriptions at PVR INOX Ltd., examined legal requirements, cybersecurity challenges and business priorities for effective DPDP compliance.
  • During the forum, OneConsent demonstrated its platform’s capabilities, showcasing consent collection, withdrawal mechanisms and audit‑trail generation.

Platform Description

OneConsent’s platform supports the full consent lifecycle—collection, tracking, withdrawal—and maintains auditable records, enabling organisations to translate DPDPA obligations into accountable operational practices.

Future Initiatives

The partnership commits to ongoing engagement with industry stakeholders through additional awareness programmes, knowledge‑sharing sessions and preparedness activities, aimed at helping businesses understand their responsibilities and develop the capabilities required to meet DPDP requirements.
