ONGC Receives APPCB Stop Production Order

ONGC received a Stop Production Order from the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) on 24.04.2026 for its Mori#05 well.
The order follows a well blowout and fire incident on 05.01.2026 at a well operated by contractor M/s Deep Exploration Services Private Limited (DESPL).
APPCB cited environmental violations including operating without Consent to Establish/Operate and causing air pollution.
ONGC states the financial impact is not significant given its operational scale and intends to review and respond to the order.
