PIB Fact Check Unit Issued 2,900+ Fact-Checks, Blocked 1,400+ URLs

The Press Information Bureau's Fact Check Unit has published over 2,900 fact-checks to combat misinformation about the Central Government.
During Operation Sindoor, the unit identified false narratives and facilitated the blocking of over 1,400 URLs to curb misinformation.
The unit operates under the IT Rules, 2021, which provide a code of ethics and a three-tier grievance redressal mechanism for digital media.
