PIB Fact Check Unit Issues Over 2,900 Fact-Checks

The PIB Fact Check Unit has published over 2,900 fact-checks to counter misinformation related to the Government of India.
During Operation Sindoor, the unit acted against false claims and secured the blocking of over 1,400 URLs on digital media.
The unit operates under the IT Rules, 2021, which provide a three-level grievance redressal mechanism for digital media.
