Punjab National Bank has received information from the Indian Bank Association (IBA) regarding planned labor strikes:
- United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), representing seven constituent unions/associations, has called for strikes on September 11, 28, 29, 30, 2026, and a continuous strike beginning October 26, 2026
- All India Bank Adhikari Sena Mahasangh (AIBASM) and Bank Karmachari Sena Mahasangh (BKSM) have also called for strikes on September 28, 29, 30, 2026, and a continuous strike beginning October 26, 2026
- The strikes are called in support of various union demands
- The bank is taking necessary steps to ensure smooth functioning of branches and offices during strike periods
- However, the bank acknowledges that if the strikes materialize, the functioning of branches and offices may be affected
