Petitioner Prof. Kailash Sharma, a retired associate professor, filed a writ before the Patna High Court against the State of Bihar, the High Court Director, and officials of L.N.M. University seeking payment of gratuity, salary arrears, group insurance, earned leave and revised pay‑scale. The University contended that all admissible dues had been extended and no claim remained. The Court, after hearing counsel, granted Sharma liberty to approach the concerned authorities within four weeks to raise any pending grievance; failing such representation, the matters will be given quietus. The case was disposed.
