The RTA will not process any service requests or complaints from shareholders for folios where these KYC details are not available.

SEBI had extended timelines for submission from September 30, 2023, to December 31, 2023, through its circular dated September 26, 2023. While SEBI's circular dated November 17, 2023, removed provisions for freezing non-KYC folios and referring them to authorities under Benami Transactions Act and Prevention of Money Laundering Act, shareholders are still advised to submit documents to protect their investments.

Additionally, per SEBI's advisory email dated January 17, 2024, all corporate benefits such as dividend, interest, and redemption amounts will be paid only through electronic mode, with no physical instruments.

The document also introduces SEBI's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) mechanism established through circular No. SEBI/HO/OIAE/OIAEIAD-1/P/CIR/2023/131 dated July 31, 2023, amended on August 4, 2023 (corrigendum ref. SEBI/HO/OIAE/OIAEIAD-1/P/CIR/2023/135), and updated via Master Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD/P/CIR/2025/91 dated June 23, 2025, providing an additional mechanism for grievance resolution.
