RBI sanctioned the voluntary amalgamation of Mekhar Urban Co‑op Bank Ltd. with Nagpur Nagarik Sahakari Bank Ltd. under the Banking Regulation Act.
The scheme becomes effective on 24 April 2026, with all Mekhar branches operating as Nagpur Nagarik Sahakari Bank branches thereafter.
Approval was issued under sub‑section (4) of Section 44A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
