Regulatory Compliance Update
AGM Extension Details
- The Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra at Mumbai-I, vide its order dated August 24, 2026, granted an extension of 45 days (1 month and 15 days) for convening the AGM
- The original due date for holding the AGM was September 30, 2026 as per Section 96 of the Companies Act, 2013
- The company filed application SRN AC5192271 on August 7, 2026 seeking the extension
- The extension was granted on grounds of "procedural difficulties" despite the company admitting that extant law does not prevent them from holding AGM on due date
- The ROC noted that substantial steps have already been taken after Order of NCLT
Implementation
The company shall convene its AGM for FY 2025-26 within the extended 45-day period. The specific date of the Annual General Meeting will be intimated upon approval of the Board.
Regulatory Advisement
The ROC order explicitly advises the company "to be careful in future in compliance of the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013."
