SEBI has opened a special window from February 05, 2026 to February 04, 2027 for transfer and dematerialisation of physical securities purchased/sold prior to April 01, 2019. This covers both previously rejected/returned transfer deeds and transfer requests never lodged earlier.
Requirements for availing the special window include:
- Original security certificate(s)
- Transfer deed executed prior to April 01, 2019
- Proof of purchase (where available)
- KYC documents of transferee
- Latest Client Master List of transferee's demat account (not older than two months)
- Undertaking-cum-Indemnity in prescribed format
Securities transferred under this window will be credited only in dematerialized form and remain under lock-in for one year from the date of registration of transfer.
