Final Outcome

1. Shri Sanjeev Kaushal, IAS (Retd.), is appointed as a member of the Board of Urban Improvement Company Pvt. Ltd., notwithstanding the absence of a recommendation from the Union Government’s appropriate department.

2. The incumbent Sub‑Divisional Magistrate, Badkhal, Faridabad, shall serve as the third member of the Board, joining Shri Kaushal and Shri Sanjay Sood (Whole Time Director).

3. Shri Sanjay Sood, Shri Kaushal, and the Sub‑Divisional Magistrate shall continue to perform the functions previously carried out by Shri Bharat Bhushan (former Chairman and Whole Time Director) and other Board members, including implementation of any directions issued by this Court and safeguarding the interests of the residents.

4. The Special Leave petitions are to be re‑listed for hearing on 23 July 2026 at 3:30 p.m.

5. The Board must submit an updated report on its functions by 23 July 2026.

6. Two affidavits filed on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, and the District Town Planner Enforcement, Faridabad, are taken on record; any party may raise objections within two weeks from the date of the order.

7. The petition for discharge of Shri Arun Kumar Arya, former District Judge appointed as Court Commissioner, is allowed, subject to his answering any future queries regarding his performance.
