The Managing Committee of Sri Sri Balunkeswar Bidyapitha filed an interlocutory application (I.A No.1159 of 2026) seeking modification of the Court’s order dated 24 January 2025, which had dismissed its appeal on the ground of delay. The Court noted that similar appeals (FAO No.338 of 2022) were also dismissed for delay and that the Supreme Court, in Special Leave Petition (Civil) Diary No. 17559 of 2026, held the appellants to be covered by the earlier FAO No.509 of 2014 order. Relying on this precedent, the High Court modified the 24 January 2025 order, condoned the delay, and directed the appellants to pay costs of Rs 6,500 to the Juvenile Justice Fund managed by the Member Secretary, Odisha State Legal Services Authorities, with payment due by 31 July 2026. The interlocutory application was thereafter disposed.
