Supreme Court Dismisses SLP Over Kolhapur Dairy Cooperative Election

Supreme Court dismissed the Special Leave Petition, upholding the High Court order for elections of the Kolhapur dairy cooperative.
High Court directed the Assistant Registrar to complete hearings and conduct elections for Kolhapur Zilla Sahkari Doodh Utpadak Sangh Ltd within 80 days.
Regional Dairy Development Officer appointed a Board of Authorized Officers to manage the Sangh after its directors' term expired on 04.05.2026.
Petitioners were permitted to withdraw the writ petition; elections are to be held within 90 days as per the State Co‑operative Election Authority.
