Order Details

1. Permission to file the Special Leave Petition is granted.

2. IA No. 296734/2026 allowing deletion of petition no.2 from the array of parties is allowed; cause title to be amended.

3. The Court heard senior counsel Ms. Menaka Guruswamy and Ms. Arundhati Katju for the petitioners, and Additional Advocate General Mr. Shiv Mangal Sharma for the State of Rajasthan.

4. Considering the raised issues, the Court directs that although the Rajasthan Cricket Association election scheduled for the day may take place, the election results shall not be declared.

5. The Court requests the High Court to advance the next hearing date and endeavour to decide the case on merits, preferably on the date fixed.

6. The petitioner is granted liberty to join the pending proceedings before this Court in C.A. No.4235/2014 (Board of Control for Cricket in India v. Cricket Association of Bihar).
