The Supreme Court admitted a special leave petition by M/S Pure Fisheries and issued notice to the State of Maharashtra, returnable on 24 July 2026.
The court allowed exemptions from filing certified copies and translations, and set a schedule for filing counter and rejoinder affidavits.
The court also directed that the status quo existing as of the hearing date be maintained by all parties involved.
