Supreme Court Orders IndusInd General Insurance to Deposit 50% of Award

The Supreme Court condoned a delay in filing and issued notice in a case between IndusInd General Insurance and Vikas Verma & Ors.
The Court directed the insurance company to deposit 50% of the amount awarded by the High Court into a fixed deposit within one month.
The deposited amount is to be held in a nationalized bank and cannot be released without the Court's permission.
