Legal Proceedings Details

• The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), Mumbai has disposed of cross-appeals filed by both the Company and the Income-tax Department for Assessment Year 2011-12
• Order date: September 25, 2026
• The ITAT granted relief to the Company on various matters including:
• Company's claim for deduction under section 80-IA of the Income-tax Act, 1961 for its National Long Distance undertaking
• Certain Transfer Pricing matters
• Other tax matters
• Certain matters are subject to consequential verification/recomputation by the Assessing Officer

Current Status and Impact

• The Company is evaluating the order, including the consequential tax impact
• The Company is considering further course of action, if any
• The proceedings have been disposed of by ITAT order (not settled between parties)
