TRAI Mobile Network Quality Assessment for Kachchh Region, September 2026

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released findings from an Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted across Kachchh area including Gandhidham and Bhuj cities and the Bhuj to Bachau highway in Gujarat LSA during September 8-11, 2026. The assessment was supervised by TRAI Regional Office Jaipur and aimed to verify real-time quality of mobile network services (voice and data) provided by Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) using advanced test handsets and software systems across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.

Test Coverage and Methodology

The drive test covered 245.2 km of city drives, 9 hotspot locations, and 75.7 km of highway route between Bhuj and Bachau. Specific areas tested included Sukhpar, Uma Nagar, Airport Ring Road, Sanskar Nagar, Din Dayal Nagar, Junavas, Somiya Nagar, Anjar, Jalaram Nagar, Bharat Nagar, Gandhidham, Vinayak Society, Kandla, and Mundra. The highway route covered Bhuj to Bhachau via Danda Bazar, Bhuj-Bhachau Highway, Padhar, Kaniyabe, Budharmora, Amardi, Kumbhardi, Euro Colony, and Madina Nagar.
