United Spirits Faces INR 441.95 Crore Water Charge Demand

United Spirits discloses a INR 441.95 crore water charge demand from Maharashtra authorities for the period Nov 2018-Feb 2026.
The company has challenged the demand in Bombay High Court and filed an SLP in the Supreme Court for interim protection.
The Supreme Court ordered USL to deposit INR 50 crore with the court and restrained authorities from coercive action for four weeks.
