VA Tech Wabag Limited has filed a disclosure under SEBI Listing Regulations (Reg. 30) regarding the receipt of a rectification order from GST authorities.

The disclosure references a previous intimation dated March 06, 2026, concerning a GST demand order from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, GST Commissionerate, Uttar Pradesh. The original order alleged an excess Input Tax Credit (ITC) claim for the Financial Year 2019-20 under Section 74 of the CGST Act for a total amount of ₹43,73,666.

The company has now received a favorable rectification order dated June 19, 2026, from the same authorities. This new order has quashed the original demand. The liability has been significantly reduced to a new total of ₹1,97,880, which the company has stated it will duly discharge.

The breakdown of the reduced demand, as provided in Annexure-I, is as follows:

  • Basic Tax: ₹61,664
  • Interest: ₹74,552
  • Penalty: ₹61,664
  • Total: ₹1,97,880

The company has explicitly stated that, based on this reduced amount, "There is no material impact on the financial, operations or other activities of the Company."
