Zydus Lifesciences Subsidiary Receives ₹9M GST Demand

Zydus VTEC, a Zydus Lifesciences subsidiary, received a GST demand order for ₹9 million plus penalty from Ahmedabad tax authorities.
The demand alleges inadmissible Input Tax Credit availed between September 2020 and March 2023 under CGST Act provisions.
Zydus Lifesciences states the subsidiary will appeal the order and expects no material financial impact from this proceeding.
