29th National Conference on E-Governance 2026
The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan, are organizing the 29th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2026 on July 1-2, 2026, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The conference theme is 'Viksit Bharat 2047: AI-enabled, Data-driven & Secure Digital Governance.'
Inauguration and Key Participants
Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma will inaugurate the two-day conference, which will also be attended by Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister for Information Technology and Communication of Rajasthan. Delegates from over 80 Central Ministries/Departments, 28 States, and 8 Union Territories will participate in the event.
National Awards for E-Governance 2026
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, will confer National Awards for e-Governance 2026 on 17 exemplary initiatives across seven categories. The awards include 10 gold, 6 silver, and 1 jury award given to Central Ministries/Departments, State/UT Governments, District Administration, Gram Panchayats, and Academic/Research Institutions.
Conference Structure and Sessions
The conference features 6 plenary sessions and 6 breakout sessions with over 60 speakers from diverse backgrounds. Plenary sessions will cover: AI-Based Governance for All, Bridging Digital Divide through voice-first solutions, Deep Tech and Quantum Driven Digital Transformation, AI for Smart Policing and Public Safety, Citizen-Centric Inclusive Governance, and Digital Interventions for School Education quality and access.
Breakout sessions include: Driving Urban Transformation through Technology, AI and Digital Infrastructure for Secure Public Services, Grassroots Governance approaches, and two sessions showcasing excellence by Gold Awardees of NAeG 2026, plus a session on empowering youth and accelerating innovation.
Additional Features and Declarations
An exhibition with over 40 displays will showcase award-winning initiatives and innovative digital governance solutions from DARPG, MeitY, Government of Rajasthan, other Central & State Government Departments, and leading Research Institutions. The Jaipur Declaration on e-Governance 2026 will be addressed by Smt. Sarita Chauhan, Additional Secretary, DARPG. Senior officials including Secretary DARPG Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary MeitY Shri S. Krishnan, and Chief Secretary of Rajasthan Shri V. Srinivas will also deliver addresses.
