ACC PLI Scheme Awards 40 GWh to Four Firms, 1 GWh Installed

The Ministry of Heavy Industries reports 40 GWh of Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) manufacturing capacity awarded under the PLI scheme, with a total outlay of ₹18,100 crore.
Only 1 GWh of the 40 GWh awarded has been installed to date, all by Ola Cell Technologies, with the rest of the capacity yet to be commissioned.
The scheme aims to reduce import dependence by establishing 50 GWh of domestic ACC battery manufacturing capacity and building a competitive ecosystem.
