ADB announced a $70 billion programme to develop energy and digital infrastructure across Asia‑Pacific by 2035.
$50 billion will fund the Pan‑Asia Power Grid Initiative, targeting 20 GW renewable integration, 22,000 km lines and 200 million electricity users.
$20 billion will support the Asia‑Pacific Digital Highway, targeting broadband for 200 million, connectivity for 450 million, 40% cost reduction and up to 4 million jobs.
ADB will finance half of the power grid and $15 billion of the digital projects, with the rest from co‑financing and private investors.
