The Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) is set to launch Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to October 31, 2026, following guidelines from the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG). The campaign aims to institutionalize cleanliness practices, minimize work pendency in government offices, enhance public experience with government services, and properly collect, segregate, and dispose of e-waste generated in government offices as per rules.

During the previous Special Campaign 5.0, the department undertook comprehensive cleanliness drives across its headquarters, subordinate offices, attached offices, and PSUs nationwide. The campaign included plantation activities and cleaning of public places. A major focus was on disposing of public grievances, particularly those relating to flagship schemes. The department utilizes multiple platforms including CPGRAMS and dedicated portals for PM KISAN and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY) for grievance redressal.

The department organized a Workshop on Public Grievances and Special Campaign 5.0 on October 9, 2025, with support from DARPG, which was addressed by both the Secretary of DA&FW and Secretary of DARPG. A key achievement was the innovative use of e-waste materials by Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institutes to create models of agricultural equipment including drones, tractors, and cultivators, which were exhibited during the workshop and recognized as best practices in the waste-to-wealth category.

The department's performance during Special Campaign 5.0 showed significant achievements: 1,133 cleanliness campaign sites were completed against the target of 1,133; 31 out of 32 pending references from MPs were addressed; all 177,336 pending public grievances were disposed; 31,722 physical files were reviewed against the target of 31,722; 10,597 physical files were weeded out against the target of 10,597; 18,042 square feet of space was freed; and revenue of ₹4,038,150 was generated. The department also conducted extensive social media outreach with six PIB notes and over 274 tweets across various platforms.
