The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, concluded its Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026 on October 2, 2026, which had been running from September 17 to October 2, 2026. The campaign was organized by the Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga under the theme "Swachhata Mein Sabhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat" and focused on promoting cleanliness, responsible waste management, environmental awareness, and community participation across the Institute and surrounding areas.

On the concluding day, the program was attended by Director Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Prajapati, Dean Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala, Dean Research Prof. (Dr.) Rajagopala, and Dr. Raja Ram Mahto (AMS), along with faculty members. A campus-wide cleanliness drive was undertaken, and Director Prajapati emphasized that cleanliness and hygiene are shared responsibilities. A Swachhata Pledge was administered to faculty members, scholars, and staff who committed to upholding cleanliness, practicing responsible waste management, and maintaining a clean environment. Safai Mitras were felicitated for their dedicated contributions to maintaining Institute cleanliness.

The Department also organized a plantation drive under the "Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam" initiative in the NTPC area, attended by senior faculty and scholars, promoting environmental sustainability. The fortnight-long campaign saw participation from faculty, Ph.D. scholars, postgraduate scholars, staff, patients, and their attendants. Awareness programs were conducted for patients and attendants on four-way waste segregation, home composting, Reduce-Reuse-Recycle principles, and avoidance of single-use plastics. Shramdaan activities included cleaning office premises and indoor areas, while cleanliness drives were undertaken in and around the campus.

The Institute will continue its cleanliness efforts through Special Campaign 6.0, which runs until October 31, 2026, with the theme "Effective Collection, Segregation and Disposal of e-waste."
