AirTrunk's Proposed Rs. 3 Lakh Crore Investment in India's Data Centres

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the remarkable momentum in India's digital infrastructure journey, noting that AirTrunk has announced plans to invest approximately Rs. 3 lakh crore (equivalent to $30 billion) in India to develop 5 GW of data centre capacity. This investment is among the largest proposed in the country's digital infrastructure ecosystem. The Prime Minister stated that such investments will significantly strengthen India's position as a global hub for cloud computing and artificial intelligence, while simultaneously generating employment opportunities, supporting local supply chains, and accelerating innovation-led growth. He affirmed that the future of the world's digital economy is increasingly being shaped in India.
