APEDA facilitated first-ever export of 20 metric tons of ODOP honey from Assam's Baksa district to USA.
Assam produced approximately 1,650 metric tons of honey in FY 2023-24, with Baksa among key producing districts.
Export expected to deliver 43% higher price realization to local beekeepers compared to local farm gate prices.
Initiative supports ODOP program to diversify agricultural exports and integrate aspirational districts into global value chains.
