The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, in collaboration with Nuernberg Messe India, is organizing BIOFACH INDIA 2026 from 6–8 August 2026 at the India Expo Centre & Mart (IEML), Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR. The exhibition brings together stakeholders from the organic, natural and sustainable food sectors, providing a comprehensive platform for trade, knowledge exchange and business networking.
The event features more than 200 exhibiting companies, including over 60 exhibitors participating under the APEDA Pavilion. These represent exporters, women entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), startups and organic enterprises. The APEDA Pavilion showcases a diverse range of certified organic products from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and other organic-producing regions across India. The display includes cereals, pulses, millets, spices, tea, coffee, fresh fruits and vegetables, processed foods, herbs, medicinal plants, oilseeds, edible oils, honey, cocoa products, natural ingredients, organic nutraceuticals and other value-added food products.
To enhance global market access, APEDA has facilitated participation of more than 35 international buyers from 13 key overseas markets including Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia and Egypt. These buyers represent leading importers, distributors, wholesalers and retail chains and are participating in structured Buyer-Seller Meets (BSMs) with Indian exhibitors to foster business partnerships, explore new sourcing opportunities and promote long-term export collaborations.
The three-day exhibition also features technical conferences, interactive knowledge sessions, product demonstrations and trend showcases covering organic certification, traceability, sustainability, market access, evolving consumer preferences and emerging opportunities in global organic trade. These sessions provide participants with insights into international regulatory requirements, quality standards and export market expectations.
The inaugural session was attended by Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Shri Katikithala Srinivas, as the Chief Guest. Additional guests included Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav; Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Georg Enzweiler; Chairman, APEDA, Shri Abhishek Dev; Secretary, Spices Board of India, Shri M. S. Manivannan; Chairperson of the Board & Managing Director, Nuernberg Messe India, Ms. Sonia Prashar; and Vice President, IFOAM – Organics International, Mr. Marco Schlüter.
Shri Katikithala Srinivas stated that the organic sector offers significant opportunities to enhance India's agricultural exports while creating greater market opportunities for farmers and enterprises. He emphasized that platforms such as BIOFACH INDIA provide important avenues for showcasing India's diverse certified organic products and facilitating engagement with international buyers. Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav noted that India has a diverse and expanding organic sector with significant potential in international markets and reaffirmed the Government's commitment to strengthening the country's organic export ecosystem through quality assurance, market access and enhanced international engagement.
BIOFACH INDIA 2026 is a collaborative initiative of APEDA, Nuernberg Messe India and IFOAM – Organics International aimed at strengthening India's organic ecosystem, expanding international market linkages and creating new business opportunities for Indian organic enterprises while enhancing the global visibility of India's certified organic products.
