Overview

Apollo Research & Innovations, part of Apollo Hospitals, hosted the fourth Apollo Clinical Research Conclave 2026 at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi on 18‑19 September 2026. The two‑day national conclave was attended by more than 350 delegates representing clinical research, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, contract research organisations, medical devices, regulators, academia and the broader innovation ecosystem.

Programme Highlights

  • The agenda comprised 15 expert talks, three plenary sessions—including a plenary by Prof. Y K Gupta, President of AIIMS Kalyani—and four panel discussions, with speakers drawn from 25 companies.
  • Day 1 covered innovative drug development, precision medicine, cell and gene therapies, artificial intelligence, decentralized clinical trials, early‑phase research, medical devices and real‑world evidence.
  • Day 2 focused on healthcare and MedTech startups, innovation ecosystems, integrative medicine, industry‑academia partnerships, ethics and regulatory challenges, and concluded with discussions on emerging science, gene therapy, decentralized trials, vulnerable populations and responsible conduct under the latest GCP.
  • Over 100 poster presentations were displayed across two themes, “Patient Journey in a Clinical Trial” and “Real‑Time Patient Monitoring Through Connected Devices,” with winners announced at the closing ceremony.
  • A Startup Showcase provided a platform for emerging healthcare innovators to present solutions to doctors, industry experts and regulators.

Key Statements

Dr. Nirmal Kumar Ganguly, former Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research, remarked that clinical research stands at a crossroads requiring continual up‑gradation of knowledge and skills to keep pace with scientific, regulatory, ethical and equity demands. Dr. Arun Kumar Agarwal, Medical Advisor‑Innovation, Education & Clinical Excellence at Apollo Hospitals Group, highlighted the growing shift toward personalized, integrative medicine that blends modern systems with traditional approaches, emphasizing patient‑centred evidence‑based protocols.
