Apollo Clinical Research Conclave 2026 Overview
Apollo Research & Innovations, a unit of Apollo Hospitals, convened the 4th edition of its flagship Apollo Clinical Research Conclave on 18‑19 September 2026 at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. The two‑day national conclave was organized under the theme “Reimagining Futuristic Clinical Research for Integrated Healthcare Innovations” and attracted more than 350 delegates representing clinical research, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, contract research organisations (CROs), medical devices, regulators, academia and the broader innovation ecosystem.
Programme Highlights
The agenda comprised 15 expert talks, three plenary sessions and four panel discussions, with speakers drawn from 25 companies. A dedicated Startup Showcase offered emerging healthcare innovators a platform to present solutions to doctors, industry experts and regulators. Over 100 poster presentations were displayed across two thematic tracks – “Patient Journey in a Clinical Trial” and “Real‑Time Patient Monitoring Through Connected Devices” – with winners announced during the closing ceremony.
Day 1 Topics
Discussions focused on innovative drug development, precision medicine, cell and gene therapies, the application of artificial intelligence and decentralized clinical trials, early‑phase research, medical devices and the generation of real‑world evidence.
Day 2 Topics
The second day emphasized healthcare and MedTech startups, innovation ecosystems, integrative medicine, industry‑academia partnerships, as well as ethics and regulatory challenges. The programme concluded with deliberations on emerging science, gene therapy, decentralized trials, vulnerable populations and responsible conduct under the latest Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

- Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, served as the chief guest and addressed the inaugural session.
- Dr. Nirmal Kumar Ganguly, Former Director‑General, Indian Council of Medical Research, remarked that clinical research stands at a crossroads, requiring continual upgradation of knowledge and skills to keep pace with scientific, regulatory, ethical and equity considerations.
- Dr. Arun Kumar Agarwal, Medical Advisor‑Innovation, Education & Clinical Excellence, Apollo Hospitals Group, highlighted the growing shift toward personalized, integrative medicine that blends modern systems with traditional approaches, noting strong stakeholder enthusiasm for evidence‑based, patient‑centric treatment protocols.

The event brought together participants from a wide spectrum of organisations, including pharmaceutical firms, CROs, medical‑device manufacturers, regulatory bodies and academic institutions, reflecting a collaborative effort to shape the future of clinical research in India.
