The technology will serve serving personnel, veterans, and their dependents
The equipment is capable of delivering modern radiotherapy techniques including: Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy, Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy, Image-Guided Radiation Therapy, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy, and Stereotactic Radiosurgery
The system enables precise radiation delivery to tumor sites while minimizing exposure to surrounding normal tissues
This represents a substantial upgrade from previous equipment which has been decommissioned
Other oncology centers under Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) are being upgraded in a phased manner
