The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, interacted with a 38-member student delegation from Uttar Pradesh at Raj Bhavan on 27 May 2026 as part of the Yuva Sangam Phase VI program under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative. The delegation was led by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and hosted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) in Arunachal Pradesh.

The week-long educational and cultural exchange program, which ran from 26-30 May 2026, included multiple components focused on cultural understanding and national integration. The Governor shared insights into Arunachal Pradesh's history, traditions, culture, and developmental progress while emphasizing the role of youth in promoting national unity. The delegation participated in an interactive session on India's linguistic diversity conducted by the Central Institute of Indian Languages and visited cultural sites including Gompa Buddhist Temple and Donyi Polo Gangging.

The educational component included visits to NERIST's 3D Printing Laboratory and interactive sessions on the state's biodiversity, with presentations highlighting Arunachal's rich flora and fauna and the importance of environmental conservation. Students also watched Arunachal Pradesh's first feature film and participated in a Traditional Attire Show showcasing the state's diverse tribal heritage. As part of the tourism and development components, the delegation visited the hydropower facilities of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) and undertook an educational visit to Ziro Valley, exploring sites including Shivlinga, Seeh Lake, Pamu Yalang Viewpoint, Sikhe Lake, Kasa Botanical Park, and local villages.

The program also included environmental initiatives such as participation in the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign and concluded with a valedictory ceremony at NERIST's Silver Jubilee Hall on 30 May 2026, where students shared their experiences and reflections. The exchange was conducted under the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, aiming to foster greater cultural appreciation and understanding between the two states.
