The 39th National Good Governance Webinar was held on August 25, 2026, focusing on the theme 'Sustainability and Replication of the Awarded Initiatives under PMA' (Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration). The webinar featured Assam's Shiksha Setu, Axom initiative, which was awarded the PM's Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2024.

Dr. Om Prakash, Commissioner & Secretary of Forest, Environment & Climate Change for the Government of Assam, presented on the awarded initiative and its sustainability aspects. Ms. Dipika Choudhury, Inspector of School from Kamrup Metropolitan, Guwahati, Assam, discussed the implementation of key aspects and further scaling up of the initiative. The webinar was chaired by Shri Puneet Yadav, Additional Secretary of DARPG (Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances), and attended by senior officers of the Department.

The event saw participation from more than 600 locations across India, including Senior Officials of Administrative Reforms Departments of States/UTs, District Collectors, State and District field officers, and Officers of Central and State Administrative Training Institutes. Each webinar typically attracts about 1,000 officials from Line Departments, State Governments, District Collectors, State Administrative Training Institutes, and Central Training Institutes.

This webinar series was initiated following Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's April 2022 directive to DARPG to hold virtual conferences/webinars with District Collectors and other officers where past PMA award winners would present their experiences to facilitate greater dissemination and replication of successful governance initiatives. This was the 39th webinar in the series that began following this directive.
