The Ministry of AYUSH has reported significant nationwide participation ahead of the 11th Ayurveda Day scheduled for September 23, 2026, under the theme 'Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow'. More than 9,700 activities have been registered across 30 States and Union Territories, with over 3.6 lakh participants officially registered through the Ayurveda Day website. Additionally, nearly 89.3 lakh citizens have pledged their support for Ayurveda through the dedicated Ayurveda Day 2026 microsite at ayurvedaday.org.in.
Substantial participation has been recorded in states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The activities encompass a wide range of initiatives including Ayurveda awareness programmes, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities, public outreach programmes, and Ayurveda health and wellness camps. Other reported activities include medicinal plant plantation and conservation drives, awareness programmes in educational institutions, youth engagement initiatives, campaigns promoting Ayurveda Ahara and healthy dietary practices, citizen pledge campaigns, and Ayurveda quizzes.
The celebrations have also garnered international attention, with activities reported from 10 countries and territories involving more than 1,900 participants. The participating countries include the British Indian Ocean Territory, the United Kingdom, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Spain, Algeria, Australia, Denmark, Iceland, and the United States of America, reflecting the growing global outreach of Ayurveda Day.
