Overview

Bharat Buildcon 2026, billed as "One Nation, One Expo," commenced on 18 June 2026 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. The inaugural day recorded more than 25,000 visitors, drawing participants from over 90 countries and more than 100 Indian cities.

The exhibition spans 24 major product categories, including Ceramic & Stone, Hardware, Cement & Steel, Plywood & Laminates, Furniture, Sanitaryware, Electricals, Paints, Construction Technologies and several other segments that underpin India's infrastructure and housing growth. The expo is scheduled to run until 22 June 2026, with organizers expecting tens of thousands of additional visitors, buyers and industry stakeholders over the remaining days.

Inauguration

The opening ceremony featured Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal (Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs), Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada (Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology) and Member of Parliament Shri Parshottam Rupala, alongside leading industrialists and representatives from the construction and building‑materials ecosystem.

Sector Impact

India's construction and building‑materials sector contributes approximately 9 % to the nation’s GDP and employs more than 51 million people, making it the second‑largest employment generator in the country. Industry estimates place the sector’s market size at roughly USD 685 billion in 2025, with projections to exceed USD 1.24 trillion by 2034, driven by infrastructure investment, urbanisation, housing demand, industrial expansion and government‑led development initiatives.
