Bharat Buildcon 2026 Exhibition Overview
On June 20, 2026, the third day of Bharat Buildcon 2026 – India’s flagship exhibition for building materials, construction and infrastructure – was highlighted by a visit from Union Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, who holds the portfolios of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports. The event is being held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi and will run until June 21, 2026.
Ministerial Remarks and Visitor Footfall
During his visit, Minister Mandaviya interacted with exhibitors, industry leaders, manufacturers and international buyers, reviewing the latest innovations showcased by Indian companies. He noted that the number of visitors recorded in the first two days was nearly double the footfall that many industry exhibitions receive over their entire duration, underscoring the growing strength of India’s building materials and construction ecosystem.
International and Domestic Participation
The exhibition attracted buyers, architects, builders, developers, distributors and other industry professionals from more than 90 countries and over 100 Indian cities. It spans 24 major product categories, including ceramics & stone, hardware, cement & steel, plywood & laminates, furniture, bathware and allied construction products, making it one of the largest business‑networking platforms for the sector.
Statements from Organisers and Industry Leaders
- Vishal Acharya, Director of Bharat Buildcon, said the presence of buyers from over 90 countries demonstrates increasing global confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities and enables Indian firms to explore export opportunities and build long‑term partnerships, strengthening India’s position as a global sourcing hub.
- Jitendra Kathiriya, Director of Bharat Buildcon, highlighted that participants from more than 100 Indian cities make the event a truly national platform, generating opportunities across the entire value chain—from manufacturers and exporters to distributors, architects, contractors and project developers.
- Nilesh Jetpariya, Chairman of CAPEXIL, remarked that India is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most important manufacturing and infrastructure markets and that platforms like Bharat Buildcon are critical for promoting exports, strengthening India’s global trade footprint and supporting the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
- Vijay Aghara, Director of Bharat Buildcon, added that the overwhelming response validates the need for a unified industry platform and that the business meetings, buyer‑seller interactions and networking created at the exhibition will translate into long‑term commercial benefits for exhibitors and significantly contribute to the growth of India’s construction and building‑materials ecosystem.
Sectoral Context and Economic Significance
India’s building‑materials and construction sector remains a strong pillar of the country’s economic growth, contributing significantly to GDP, supporting millions of jobs and driving infrastructure development, urbanisation and industrial expansion. Large‑scale investments in housing, transportation, smart cities and industrial corridors are expected to sustain demand for building materials in the coming years.
