Bharat Tex 2026: India's Largest Global Textiles Expo
Bharat Tex 2026, India's largest global textile event, is scheduled to be held from 14th to 17th July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event is organized by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils and Industry Bodies, with support from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It aims to showcase the complete breadth and depth of India's textile ecosystem on a unified global platform, demonstrating India's global leadership in textiles, fashion, sustainability, technology, innovation, investment, and international trade.
The event is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 5F Vision - Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign, and has evolved into a premier global platform for business, investment, sourcing, innovation, policy dialogue, and strategic partnerships across the textile value chain. It brings together manufacturers, exporters, global buyers, brands, sourcing consultants, investors, policymakers, States, international delegations, designers, artisans, start-ups, and technology providers.
Scale and Participation
The third edition is expected to witness participation of over 7,000 buyers and 1.3 lakh trade visitors. The exhibition will feature 20,000+ textile products spread across 1.6 million sq. ft. of exhibition space. There are over 1,600 exhibitors across dedicated halls spanning fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel and fashion, home textiles, technical textiles, and ancillary industries.
International participation includes exhibitors from 14 countries: United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa, and Nepal among others. The event also features strong institutional representation from the United Nations and European Union.
State Participation and Regional Showcase
Eight Sponsor States are participating: Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Additionally, nine States and UTs are participating as exhibitors: Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Rajasthan, and West Bengal. These participations will showcase India's regional textile ecosystems, investment opportunities, cluster capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure, and policy support. The event will specifically highlight textile clusters including Tirupur, Ichalkaranji, and Ahmedabad.
Knowledge Sessions and Programming
The event features 100+ knowledge sessions, including 39 panel discussions, 16 roundtables, 37 master classes, 8 State sessions, and other specialized formats. More than 50 partner agencies have been onboarded to support the knowledge program. Key thematic areas covered are Trade & Investment, Technology & Innovation, Sustainability & Circularity, Fashion & Craft, Policy Sessions, and dedicated State Sessions. These sessions address challenges faced by the textiles industry and focus on export readiness, sustainability compliances, industry 5.0, fibre security, product innovation, global sourcing mega trends, and emerging technologies to help MSMEs and emerging exporters compete better across key markets.
International Engagement
The event brings together over 350 speakers including international experts, national industry leaders, CXOs, policymakers, and thought leaders from more than 20 countries. Countries represented include United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Portugal, France, Switzerland, South Korea, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Sweden, Kenya, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Egypt, and Indonesia.
Ministerial delegations from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Cambodia, and Brunei have shown interest in participating. Industry and business delegations are expected from United States, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Uganda. The event is expected to facilitate nearly 3,500 curated B2B meetings, over 100 B2G meetings, and the signing of over 20 MoUs across trade, investment, technology, sustainability, market access, and institutional collaboration. These engagements are designed to create tangible outcomes for exporters, manufacturers, buyers, suppliers, States, and international partners, with focus on investment promotion, global sourcing partnerships, MSME integration, technical textile growth, sustainable manufacturing, and Brand India positioning.
State Investor Connect and PM MITRA
Dedicated State Investor Connect Sessions will provide States with platforms to present investment opportunities, industrial infrastructure, PM MITRA linkages, policy support, and sectoral strengths. State sessions are planned for Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, along with focused Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh PM MITRA Master Developer Sessions.
Sustainability Awards and Digital Enablement
The event will host the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards 2026, structured around seven core focus areas: Resource Efficiency, Energy & Emissions, Circular Economy, Sustainable Materials, Social Responsibility, Responsible Business, and Industry Collaboration.
