The Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF) and Première Vision Paris have established a strategic partnership through a signed Letter of Intent to strengthen textile and apparel trade collaboration between India and the European Union. The agreement was signed by Ms Florence Rousson, Chief Executive Officer of Première Vision SA's Fashion Division, and Shri Naren Goenka, Chairman of BTTF, in the presence of Shri Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Textiles, during the inaugural session of Bharat Tex 2026 held from 14-17 July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
This institutional collaboration aims to create new opportunities for Indian manufacturers, exporters, and designers to expand their global presence while enabling global brands, buyers, and fashion houses to engage more deeply with India's diverse textile ecosystem. The partnership specifically focuses on promoting innovation, sustainability, design excellence, trend intelligence, and global sourcing across the entire textile value chain. The timing is strategic, following the successful conclusion of negotiations on the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which is expected to enhance market access and competitiveness for Indian textile and apparel exporters.
The collaboration will provide Indian manufacturers, MSMEs, exporters, and emerging brands with access to Première Vision's globally recognized platform to showcase premium textiles, apparel, accessories, technical textiles, sustainable materials, and fashion innovations to leading international buyers. It will facilitate reciprocal participation at both Bharat Tex and Première Vision Paris exhibitions, strengthen buyer-seller engagement, and foster exchange of trend and design intelligence. According to Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh, this partnership helps position Bharat Tex as a truly global platform and reinforces India's growing role as a trusted partner in the global textile value chain.
Smt Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, emphasized that this collaboration reflects India's evolving position in the global textile industry and advances the Prime Minister's 5F Vision by strengthening India's position as a sourcing and innovation partner for the global textile and apparel industry. The signing ceremony was witnessed by senior officials of the Ministry of Textiles, BTTF representatives, exporters, international buyers, buying houses, sourcing consultants, and industry leaders from across the textile value chain.
