BRICS Officials Finalize ADR Capacity Building Declaration

BRICS Senior Officials Meeting concluded with consensus on Joint Declaration for strengthening Alternative Dispute Resolution through mediation and arbitration capacity building.
Meeting held in hybrid format with participation from 10 countries including Brazil, China, India, Russia, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Indonesia, and UAE.
Declaration to be formally adopted at BRICS Ministers of Justice Meeting on May 21-22, 2026 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Discussions focused on institutional mediation, arbitration reforms, and ADR role in commercial and public-sector disputes across jurisdictions.
